5th Anniversary Decoration Ideas to Celebrate Five Years

Five-years couple-pod theme: a photo per year on the big screen, wood-and-rose decor.
Five years is a milestone. Not the flashy first-year sparkle, not the decade-long steadiness yet, but five years of a thousand small choices to stay. Wood is the traditional gift for this one, and we think that's perfect. A private theatre at Rosae gives you the screen for the big moments and the quiet space to honour all the small ones that got you here.
The anniversaries that land are the ones where the decor steps back and lets your story take the screen. A photo from each of the five years, one slow reveal at a time. Candlelit corners. Roses, yes, but the way that feels earned, not borrowed.
Here's how we'd mark five years in STELLAR or PHANTOM.
The Five-Year Photo Reel
This is the centrepiece. Pick five photos: one from each year, or one for each milestone moment that year. The day you met, an engagement party, a trip, an ordinary Tuesday that mattered. Put them in a slideshow video and play it on your 4K screen while you arrive, then again during a quiet moment in the evening.
If you want it staged: the first year's photo fades in as you enter. By the time you're settled with your cake, the other four appear in a slow grid. It's less "montage" and more "five heartbeats on the wall."

To play your own video in the room, tell our team first on +91 63617 29855; they'll contact you and set it up. Make the slideshow beforehand. It takes a few minutes and means one less thing to think about on the night.
Wood, Roses, and Candlelight
The wood theme doesn't need to be literal. We've seen couples bring a wooden plank with "5" cut into it, a wooden sign with the date, a wooden photo frame to keep one of the five photos after. It sits in the corner, real, touchable.
Roses are almost expected, but five years in, you know which colour actually means something. Deep red. Blush. Cream. Bring the shade that matches your story, not a generic arrangement. Decorations and props aren't included, so bring your own vase and stand (or use a vendor you trust) and keep them off the seats and out of the sightlines.
Candlelight is your friend here. Candles set a different tone than balloons. They warm the room without noise. Two or three decent-sized candles scattered around the seating area, and suddenly STELLAR or PHANTOM feels like your night, not someone else's party.
The Cake Reveal
By the fifth year, you know each other's cake tastes inside out. Order what actually excites you both from your own bakery (your own cake is allowed at Rosae), the flavour you'll remember rather than what looks good on Instagram. For a photo moment, add a "Happy Five Years" frame to your video so it plays while you slice, or keep it simple and intimate.
A small wooden cake topper with "5" makes the moment land. Bring it with you.
Playlist and Timing
Five years means a playlist. Songs from when you met. The one that was playing on a trip. The one that always makes you laugh. STELLAR and PHANTOM both have Dolby sound, and nothing competes with the mood you've built.
Some couples string this out over three hours: arrive, settle, slideshow, dinner, cake, dancing to your playlist, ending with a quiet moment before the credits roll on a film you both love. Others keep it tighter: an hour of togetherness, then you step out into the night.
Either way, the room is yours. The timing is yours.
Decor That Fits the Room
PHANTOM and STELLAR are both intimate couple pods with recliners. They don't need (and can't fit) a lot of decor. What works:
- A single statement piece (the wooden sign, the photo frame, the five-rose arrangement) placed where it catches light from the screen.
- Soft lighting from candles or (if you prefer) fairy lights draped low along one wall.
- A small surface for the cake, set to the side so you're not eating off your lap.
- Nothing that blocks sightlines to the screen or hangs in front of the speakers.
The room's job is to hold the frame. Your story, your photos, your cake: these are what fills it.
A Small Luxury
Five years deserves to feel a little more than ordinary. Booking a private couple pod instead of a restaurant booth says: we're paying attention. We're not rushing. We're not sharing this night with anyone else.
Pro tip: Book a late-morning or early-evening slot on a weekday if you can. The light coming through the lobby is gentler and the room feels less "booked" and more like an escape. Every slot costs the same on every day (PHANTOM Rs 1,597, STELLAR Rs 1,848 for 3 hours), so a five-year anniversary shouldn't break you.
FAQ
Can we bring our own music and photos? Yes. Put your photos and playlist into a video, then tell the team first on +91 63617 29855 and they'll set it up to play in STELLAR or PHANTOM.
What if we want decor help? Decorations and props aren't included at Rosae, so bring your own flowers, candles and wooden pieces, or use a vendor you trust.
How long should we book for? Slots are 3 hours, which gives you time to arrive, settle, eat cake, enjoy your playlist and a film, and leave without rushing. If the next slot is free, you can extend for a small extra charge, about Rs 200–300 depending on the room.
Can we bring outside cake? Yes. Bring cake from your favourite bakery; your own cake is allowed. Other outside food isn't, but you can order from Rosae's kitchen by scanning the QR code in the room.
What if we want to go big with decor? Talk to us before booking. We have larger rooms, COSMOS and COMET, if you're inviting a few close friends (bring your own decor there too). For a couple pod, less is usually more.
Five years is the moment where you stop counting and start feeling. A private theatre gives you the space to mark it properly: your way, your photos, your story on the biggest screen in your life.
Ready to book STELLAR or PHANTOM for your five-year night? We're open daily from 10 AM to 1 AM. Arrive about 15 minutes early and bring ID proof (or upload it online beforehand).
