Book two couple seats at a mall multiplex on a Saturday and you still share the trailers and the interval queue with a hall full of strangers. If you want the couple seat without anyone in the next row, a private room for two is the closer match: at Rosae in Koramangala, six of our nine rooms are for two, four with recliners and two with a sofa, from ₹1,097 for a 3-hour slot, GST included.

Couple seats in theatres around Bangalore usually mean paired seats, sofa-style rows, or recliners in premium halls. You get a wider seat and a big-screen release, often in its opening week, but you share the hall with everyone else who bought a ticket, the film starts at its scheduled time, and ads and trailers run first. Seat styles and prices vary by chain, so check the booking app.

With a private room you book the whole room for a fixed slot and nobody else is in it. Every room has access to the major OTT platforms, so you can watch anything on them, pause when you like, and talk without disturbing anyone. A private room won't show a brand-new theatrical release, and its screen is sized for a room rather than a cinema hall.

If you want a recliner theatre in Bangalore without strangers nearby, we have four rooms with recliners. All four have a 4K screen and Dolby sound, and each takes up to 2 guests.

PHANTOM is the lowest-priced recliner room and INFINITY is our top room, with DREAM and STELLAR in between. With the same seating, screen and sound, compare them by price. Split between two people, PHANTOM works out to about ₹799 each and INFINITY to about ₹1,499 each.

Sofa rooms for two

If you'd rather sit side by side on a sofa, or want to spend less, we have two couple rooms with sofas.

CINEPOD is our lowest-priced room at ₹1,097, with an HD screen and surround sound rather than 4K and Dolby. CINEPOD PRO keeps the sofa and adds a 4K screen and Dolby sound for ₹1,397. Moving up from CINEPOD to PHANTOM costs ₹500 more and gets you recliners, 4K and Dolby.

Coming with friends instead?

For a group, we have three sofa rooms with a 4K screen and Dolby sound, priced by headcount at ₹1,648 for 2 guests plus ₹250 for each additional guest. Children under 5 don't count towards the headcount. COMET takes up to 6, FUTURA up to 7 and COSMOS up to 8. Four friends pay ₹2,148, about ₹537 each, and eight pay ₹3,148.

COSMOS is listed for up to 8 guests, but it can fit up to 10. For groups above 8, call +91 63617 29855 before booking.

Is it private? Are there cameras?

There are no cameras inside the theatre rooms. Your room is booked only for you and your guests for the whole slot, so no other customers share it. If you order food, our staff bring it to your theatre door.

Food and drinks come from our own kitchen. Outside food isn't allowed, though you can bring your own cake. Alcohol is not allowed at Rosae. Cakes, photographers, fog effects and props are not included.

Timings and prices

We run five slots every day: 10am to 1pm, 1pm to 4pm, 4pm to 7pm, 7pm to 10pm and 10pm to 1am. The price is the same in every slot and on every day of the week, so a 7pm Saturday slot in PHANTOM costs the same ₹1,597 as a Tuesday morning.

Here is how a 7pm slot in PHANTOM runs. Get here around 6:45, and if you've uploaded ID proof and paid the balance online, show your booking QR code and walk in (if not, reception checks your ID and uploads a photo for you). Pick a film from the OTT platforms, then scan the QR code in the room to order from the menu, and we bring the food to your door. If the film runs long and the 10pm slot is free, you can stay on for a small extra charge, about ₹200-300 depending on the room, which takes the evening to roughly ₹1,800 to ₹1,900 before food.

How to book

1. Pick a room on the pricing page or a room page.
2. Choose a date and one of the five slots.
3. Pay a small advance online. The amount is shown at checkout.
4. Pay the balance at the venue by cash, card or UPI, or pay it online beforehand from your phone, where your booking shows the remaining amount.
5. Upload ID proof on the website before you arrive. It's required at check-in.
