Things to do in Koramangala: our list for couples and friends

Our list of 14 things to do in Koramangala, grouped by mood, with approximate costs, travel times from our door and a costed plan for an evening out.

It's Friday, half past six, and 80 Feet Road is already a line of brake lights. If you live in or near Koramangala, you don't need to cross the city for a night out, because dinner, dessert, a game and a film all sit within a few blocks of each other. Below are 14 things to do in Koramangala, grouped by mood, for couples and for small groups of friends.

We run Rosae, a private theatre at 67 Jyothi Nivas College Road in 5th Block, so this is the list we'd give you before or after a slot. We're one entry on it. Travel times from our door and costs for two are approximate, so check with each place before you go.

Food and cafés

Meghana Foods (5th Block)

Meghana is where plenty of Bangaloreans take out-of-town guests for Andhra-style biryani. Portions are big enough for two people to share a plate and a side. Tables turn over fast, though a weekend dinner usually means a short wait at the door.

Area: 5th Block · Cost: budget to mid-range for two (approximate) · From Rosae: a short walk (approximate)

Truffles (5th Block)

Truffles has fed Koramangala burgers, pasta and desserts for years. The room is loud in a friendly way, which takes some pressure off a first date, and the menu is wide enough that a group with different tastes won't argue for long.

Area: 5th Block · Cost: about ₹1,000 to ₹1,500 for two (approximate) · From Rosae: a short walk (approximate)

Chianti (5th Block)

For something a notch dressier, Chianti serves fresh pasta and wood-fired pizza in a calmer room than most of the street. We'd pick it for an anniversary dinner before a late slot.

Area: 5th Block · Cost: mid to upper range for two (approximate) · From Rosae: a short walk (approximate)

Corner House (Jyothi Nivas College Road)

Corner House has served sundaes in Bangalore for decades, and one of its Koramangala outlets is on our own road. The Death by Chocolate is the classic order, best finished on the steps outside.

Area: 5th Block · Cost: a few hundred rupees for two (approximate) · From Rosae: a short walk (approximate)

Dyu Art Cafe (8th Block)

Dyu is set in an old Kerala-style house, with art on the walls and seating over two floors. On a wet afternoon a pot of coffee here can stretch into two hours of conversation.

Area: 8th Block · Cost: mid-range for two (approximate) · From Rosae: about 5 to 10 minutes by auto (approximate)

The Hole in the Wall Cafe (4th Block)

This is the neighbourhood's breakfast place, known for pancakes, waffles and big English plates. Weekend mornings bring a queue on the pavement, so go early or come on a weekday.

Area: 4th Block · Cost: mid-range for two (approximate) · From Rosae: about 10 minutes by auto (approximate)

Breweries and bars

The Bier Library (6th Block)

The Bier Library is a microbrewery on 80 Feet Road with high ceilings, exposed brick and a koi pond in the middle of the floor. Several house beers are on tap, and the food leans towards plates you share.

Area: 6th Block · Cost: mid-range for two with drinks (approximate) · From Rosae: about 5 to 10 minutes by auto (approximate)

Koramangala Social (7th Block)

By day Social is a café full of laptops. In the evening it turns into a busy bar, sometimes with live music, so it suits a group of friends more than a date where you want to hear each other.

Area: 7th Block · Cost: mid-range for two with drinks (approximate) · From Rosae: about 5 to 10 minutes by auto (approximate)

Games and experiences

ESCAPE ROOM Koramangala (5th Block)

Previously called Mystery Junkies, this venue has themed rooms built around murder mysteries and prison breaks. Teams of two to eight get about an hour to puzzle their way out, and weekend slots go first.

Area: 5th Block · Cost: about ₹700 to ₹1,000 per person (approximate) · From Rosae: a short walk (approximate)

Breakout Escape Rooms (100 Feet Road)

Breakout is the other long-running escape room operator nearby, with themes from spy missions to a murder mystery. Try it once you've cleared the 5th Block rooms.

Area: 100 Feet Road · Cost: a similar per-person band to other escape rooms (approximate) · From Rosae: about 10 to 15 minutes by auto (approximate)

Timezone at Nexus Mall (Hosur Road)

Timezone has bowling lanes, bumper cars, VR and a large arcade on the second floor of Nexus Mall. A bit of competition works well on a second or third date, and whoever loses at air hockey can pay for coffee.

Area: Hosur Road · Cost: a few hundred to a couple of thousand rupees for two, depending on games (approximate) · From Rosae: about 10 to 15 minutes by auto (approximate)

Shopping

Nexus Mall Koramangala (Hosur Road)

Before it was Nexus, this was Forum, one of Bangalore's first large malls. Fashion stores, a food court, a PVR multiplex and Timezone share the building.

Area: Hosur Road · Cost: free to browse · From Rosae: about 10 to 15 minutes by auto (approximate)

Parks and walks

Agara Lake (near HSR Layout)

Agara Lake has a walking track of a few kilometres and gets busy with walkers and birdwatchers in the mornings and evenings. Go around sunset for the best light.

Area: near HSR Layout · Cost: free · From Rosae: about 15 to 20 minutes by auto (approximate)

A private movie night

Rosae (5th Block)

This one is ours. We have nine private rooms, and each is booked only for your group. Six are for two people, and COMET, FUTURA and COSMOS take groups of up to six, seven and eight. Every room has access to the major OTT platforms, so you can watch anything on them and pause whenever you like. There are no cameras inside the theatre rooms.

DREAM room at Rosae, recliners for two

Rooms for two cost from ₹1,097 for CINEPOD up to ₹2,997 for INFINITY per 3-hour slot, GST included. DREAM, at ₹1,748, has recliners, a 4K screen and Dolby sound. Group rooms start at ₹1,648 for two guests and add ₹250 for each extra guest, so eight people in COSMOS pay ₹3,148. The price is the same in all five slots, every day of the week (as of 13 Sep 2026).

Area: 5th Block · Slots: 10am-1pm, 1-4pm, 4-7pm, 7-10pm, 10pm-1am · From Rosae: you're here

Directions are on our Koramangala location page.

Things to do in Koramangala at night

Nights here mostly revolve around food and drink. Eat in 5th Block first, then choose between a brewery like The Bier Library or Koramangala Social (closing times vary by day, so check), a late show at PVR in Nexus Mall, or our 10pm-1am slot if you want the night to end somewhere quiet. Keep to the main roads after dark and book your auto or cab from inside the venue.

How we'd plan a Koramangala evening

For a couple, we'd start at Truffles around 5:30 pm and walk over to Corner House for a sundae at about 6:20. Arrive at Rosae by 6:45 for the 7-10pm slot, since we ask guests to come about 15 minutes early. If you've uploaded your ID and paid the balance on our website beforehand, you show the QR code at the door and walk in.

Once you're in, pick your film. If you get hungry halfway through, scan the QR code in the room and our kitchen brings the order to your door. Outside food isn't allowed, but you're welcome to bring a cake. Alcohol is not allowed at Rosae.

The math for two: DREAM ₹1,748 + dinner at Truffles about ₹1,200 + dessert at Corner House about ₹350 = about ₹3,300. Choose CINEPOD at ₹1,097 instead and the evening comes to about ₹2,650.

For four friends, swap dinner for an escape room in 5th Block and then take COMET. That works out to COMET for four ₹2,148 + escape room about ₹3,200 (about ₹800 each) = about ₹5,350, plus whatever you order from our kitchen.

Rainy-day plans in Koramangala

When the monsoon turns 80 Feet Road into a stream, pick one indoor place and stay put. Dyu Art Cafe suits a long rainy lunch. An escape room at ESCAPE ROOM Koramangala or Breakout fills an hour, while Timezone and a meal at Nexus Mall can take up most of an afternoon. Our 1-4pm and 4-7pm slots cost the same as the evening ones, which makes a wet Saturday afternoon a good time to watch a film.

Book a slot

Compare the rooms on our pricing page and book a time. You pay a small advance online. Pay the balance at the venue by cash, card or UPI, or pay it online beforehand from your phone, where your booking shows the remaining amount.
